No Hot Water

Whether it's a boiler breakdown, heating thermostatic controller or motorized valve failure we will find the cause and get your hot water back on.

No Heating

Pump failures, control failures, boiler breakdowns, air locks and other circulation issues are often the cause of heating going offline. We'll investigate and get your heating back on.

Radiator Cool or Leaking

Corrosion and too much air in the system are often causes of radiator breakdown. Bleeding radiators and venting off any gas buildup is a simple remedy.

Causes of gas build up are due to chemical reactions between heating system liquid and radiator steel. Corrosive inhibitors can help reduce these effects providing improved reliability and give your radiators longevity.

Water too hot or luke warm

Failed thermostatic mixer valves or simply having your hot water thermostat up to high can lead to scaldingly hot water or poor hot water temperature. We can help identify the problem and remedy the situation.

Air Locks in Oil Systems

The most common problems are air locks in the fuel line due to recent refills, running out of oil or low oil levels. Supply issues are usually the main cause of oil fired boiler issues.

Filters can also get blocked by debris when oil levels run low. Oil pumps can jam or fail completely. Burners and photo sensitive sensors can fail for various reasons. Poor wiring or oil leaks can cause outages due to corrosive side effects.

We've fixed all of these kinds of oil fired system problems.

Component Parts Failures

Component failures, including pump overflow discharge is sometimes due to the original system design or more likely individual component failure. This can lead to failure of your whole heating system.but can be easily rectified with a replacement part.

Heating Systems We Install, Maintain & Repair

  • Electric Immersion Hot Water & Heating Systems
  • Ground Sourced Heat Pump Systems
  • Bottled Gas LPG Heating Systems
  • Underfloor Electric & Hot Water Heating Systems
  • Ground Sourced Heat Pump Systems
  • Oil Fired Heating Systems
  • Solar Heating Systems
  • Solid Fuel & Biomass Stoves
Unvented stored hot water systems running off mains pressure are now much more common than traditional low pressure hot water storage tanks and offer solutions where low pressure hot water delivery is a problem.

Bigger properties or light commercial properties invariably have break tank storage & pump set systems in place to ensure demand is met throughout the property. In short, mains pressure may not be enough for properties with higher demand.  Accumulators can help overcome flow issues which are sometimes mistaken for water pressure issues.

Solid Fuel Stoves and Biomass Heating

Solid fuel systems like wood burning stoves (or historically coal fires) and biomass installations require "HETAS" certified installers. This is not something we currently offer but we can put you in touch with qualified engineers if you get in touch.

Oil Fired Heating Systems Specialists

There are several types of burner for oil fired heating systems. Older style Perrymatic, Grant or Trianco "wall flame" burners are less efficient than more modern systems that do a secondary burn on exhaust gases.  The most energy efficient advice is to replace older style boilers with new ones but sometimes the economics of this mean it is better to repair the older system with replacement parts.

We have the necessary experience to help identify the appropriate course of action in the event of oil fired heating system failures.

We hold qualifications for atmospheric vapourising oil burners and have all the necessary competencies for oil fired heating maintenance and installation. The OFTEC Association promote excellence in heating.

Solar Heating Systems

Solar heating problems are often caused by secondary issues with the heat exchanger or circulating pump. You can get breakdowns in the solar plant side with glycol leaks etc. but this is less likely.

We have direct hands on experience of solving problems with Solar Heating systems.
