Common Plumbing Emergencies we fix in Sussex
Water LeaksWe've fixed leaks of all types including: underground leaks, wet room leaks, failing overflows, burst heating and hot water pipes, leaky taps, shower leaks, and simple radiator leaks.
The source of leaks can sometimes be difficult to find but we carry acoustic & thermal leakage detection equipment to quickly discover where a leak is coming from. Poor Water PressueWe can perform pressure testing & flow rate checks to identify and resolve causes of poor water pressure.
Shower pumps can fail and may need to be replaced or it can be as simple as an air lock that needs removing. |
No WaterThere are many possible causes of a lack of water. These can be within your home or outside and to do with external factors such as the local water supply. We'll quickly establish why you are not getting water and contact the local water authority if the problem is not within your home.
Overflow IssuesHot water tank and toilet components can sometimes fail and cause issues with overflows running out water. We carry a range of common spare parts on our vans to replace failed components. Replacing old components with new is often far cheaper than trying to repair older parts.
Sometimes causes can be more complicated and to do with water pressure variations. Our experienced plumbers can help solve the problem quickly and efficiently. |
Brown WaterColoured water can be a serious health risk to you and your family. It's usually indicative of a problem with the water supply to your home. e.g. broken pipe. If the broken pipe is on your side of the meter it's your responsibility to fix it. If it's the other side, the local water authority is responsible. We can help identify the cause and take appropriate action.

Water Main IssuesUnderground water mains supply pipe installation for new builds or replacement for older properties.
Our engineers will install a new 25mm or 32mm plastic water supply pipe into your home. Using a technique in which a pneumatic piercing tool is used to create a bore hole. The ground is compacted and displaced rather than excavated and removed, therefore disruption and reinstatement are minimal and where excavation is required, the ground will be permanently reinstated to match existing. |

Lead Pipe ReplacementIf you have a lead water supply pipe between the stop valve outside your home and your kitchen tap, the solution is to replace it with a modern plastic supply pipe.
How do you know if your property has a lead water supply pipe? If it was built before 1970 then it may have a lead water supply pipe. If built after 1970 then it is unlikely to have a lead water supply pipe. |
